During the launch of North Korea’s new 5,000 tonne warship, a major accident occurred, causing the country’s supreme leader Kim Jong Un angry. According to the Government Media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the accident took place on Wednesday in the north-eastern port city of Chongjin, when the warship was being launched in the water.
According to the report, the warship slipped from a flatcar and its lower part was badly damaged. KCNA reported that the accident happened due to ‘inexperienced leadership and negligence’. This is considered a rare example of North Korea accepting failure.
Kim Jong will be punished
Kim Jong Un called the accident as ‘extremely careless criminal act’ and said that the incident is ‘going to hurt the dignity and self-esteem of the country.’ He reprimanded the officials concerned and ordered that the warship should be fully corrected before the meeting of the party’s central committee to be held next month.

On the second day on Thursday, the South Korean army said that the warship is now tilted in the water on one side. According to KCNA, Kim also said that the officials whose negligence this accident happened will be held responsible in the party’s next meeting.
War vessel made with the help of Russia!
The accident occurred when North Korea was unveiled by North Korea weighing another 5,000 tonnes weighing ‘Choe Hyon’, in which Kim joined her daughter Juii. Analysts believe that the ship may be able to carry small nuclear weapons, although North Korea has not yet publicly certified its nuclear weapons technique.

It is also being speculated in some reports that Russia would have helped in making this war vessel in exchange for the help of North Korea in the Ukraine War. The port of North Korea where the accident took place is close to the Vladivostok port of Russia, which further increases the possibility of cooperation. This incident is considered a major setback on the plans to expand the military power of North Korea.
