Producer Boney Kapoor and his daughter Khushi Kapoor remembered late actress Sridevi on her 61st birth anniversary on Tuesday. They shared precious moments spent with her on their social media handles. (Also Read – Janhvi Kapoor says mom Sridevi loved her hair: ‘I would never cut it for any role’)
Khushi shared a picture of her childhood in which her mother and sister are seen. She shared a cute picture with Sridevi and Janhvi on her Instagram story.
On Monday midnight, Sridevi’s husband and producer Boney Kapoor posted a picture of his “jaan” to wish her on the day. The picture of the late actress appears to be from her 2012 comedy-drama film, English Vinglish. Along with the post, he wrote a message, “Happy birthday, meri jaan.”
As soon as she uploaded the post, fans flooded the comments section. One user wrote, “Happy birthday Hawa Hawai we miss you.” Another user commented, “She will always be the best.”
Born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan in 1963, she is best known for her stellar roles in several Hindi films such as Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma and English Vinglish. The Padma Shri awardee also made her mark with her exceptional acting in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. Her last film was Mom, for which she also received the National Award for Best Actress posthumously.
Sridevi breathed her last on 24 February 2018 in Dubai, where she had gone to attend a family function.
Meanwhile, Khushi was seen in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies. It is a coming-of-age musical film that follows the lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Ethel and Dilton and takes the audience to the fictional hill town of Riverdale. The film depicts friendship, freedom, love, heartbreak and rebellion.
