A prominent private university in Karachi city of Sindh province of Pakistan has been criticized, which has been criticized for issuing a show-causing notice to students to celebrate the Hindu festival in their campus.

Such ceremonies and viral videos of parties led to conflict and violence on campuses between student groups.
Hindus who live mostly in the southern Sindh province, have long claimed that they are not treated properly by the authorities, with the forced transformation and growing examples of forcibly adaptation and marriage of young poor Hindu girls for Muslims.
