Actor John Lithgo is all set to play the role of Albus Dambaldor in the new Harry Potter series based on JK Rowling novels. Despite earning significant praise for his roles in hits and intellectuals and shows such as The Crown, many Harry Potter fans expressed displeasure over their casting as a dumbbildor in the new Harry Potter series. It may be difficult for John after following the footsteps of the late actor Michael Gamman (Dumbballdore in Harry Potter Films), but the Crown actor reminded fans that he could not be ‘British’, but he played the role of former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill.
Talking on the BBC forest show, as said by Deadline, John said, “I will follow the great Michael Gamban. I am not an Englishman, although I have played on TV,” he said in BBC’s The One Show. “I remind everyone that I played Winston Churchill on Crown and just fixed it.”
He assured the fans that he would give his best for the role. “But I mean, it’s a huge adventure. But I know that a lot of people say that an American should be hired to play the final English wizard. But, I will do my best,” John said the deadline.
In March, the actor opened his character of Dambaldor and said that he does not believe that it is a difficult task for him, people said.
“You know, Dambaldor – he is like a nuclear weapon. He only moves very much, sometimes. And I think – I don’t think it’s a difficult task, and, we just go forward and back,” John said that Jason Betman, Scene Hayes and Will Arnett, said informing people.
