The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced new jobs for candidates with 12th class education. The posts of Deputy Superintendent Archaeologist and Cabin Safety Inspector are available, whose salary is based on the Level 10 pay scale of the 7th Central Pay Commission. In this pay scale, the salary ranges from Rs 56,000 to Rs 1.77 lakh per month.

UPSC has announced a total of 82 vacancies for two posts. These include 67 for Deputy Superintending Archaeologist and 15 for Cabin Safety Inspector.
For the post of Deputy Superintending Archaeologist, candidates must possess a master’s degree in Archaeology or Indian History (with a focus on ancient or medieval Indian history) from a recognised university, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
In contrast, the post of Cabin Safety Inspector is open to candidates who have completed education up to class 12th.
Age Requirements
The age limit for the UPSC posts is as follows:
- General Category Candidates: Upto 35 years
- OBC Candidates: Upto 38 years
- SC/ST Candidates: Upto 40 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDS): Upto 45 years
Application Fee
The application fee for these UPSC posts is Rs 25. However, women, SC/ST candidates and persons with benchmark disabilities are exempted from paying the fee. The payment can be made through various online methods.
