The Congress party -led protest, however, has rejected the clarification of medical issues behind the sudden steps, instead it has been claimed that the ‘deep reasons so far’ play.

No one else from the government or the party commented on Dhankhar’s move. In fact, Nishikant Dubey, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Parliament (MP) Nishikant Dubey, in the Congress for his reactions to Dhankhar’s “unpredictable” resignation, means that the opposition was dramatic.
“Opposition is playing the role of Kader Khan in the film,” Dubey posted on X citing a news report from December last year, where the opposition parties moved from the vice -president’s office to impeach Dhankar and accused him of being “biased”.
Opposition-to-apply notice
Amid criticism, the decision to start an opposition-proposed impeachment notice against Justice Yashwant Verma is associated with Dhankhar’s resignation.
The President of the Rajya Sabha did not do well with the government allegedly. Instead of taking notice in the Rajya Sabha, the government wanted the government to start in the Lok Sabha, according to reports in the Indian Express and Hindustan Times.

63 signature to remove justice Verma
On the afternoon of 21 July, Zairam Ramesh, who is also a Rajya Sabha MP, announced on social media: “Today various opposition parties related to 63 Rajya Sabha MPs proposed to the Chairman, Rajya Sabha for a similar pace to investigate Justice. 13 December 2024.”
About an hour later, Dhankhar announced in the Rajya Sabha that he had accepted the opposition’s proposal. This, when Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla did not inform the House about the speed of impeachment.
Later during the day, any business advisory committee (BAC) meeting from the government was started by Dhankhar, which started a few hours before his resignation. The Congress party cited the Vice President as “insult” as one of the reasons behind his sudden resignation.
Ramesh said in one of his posts on X that “something very serious” happened between 1 pm and 4.30 pm, which inspired Nad and Rijiju to leave BAC “deliberately”.
Justice Verma Cash-at-Hom Case
