Hollywood’s favorite couple, Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen, announced their separation on Friday. In a shock Instagram message, the couple, who were together for more than 20 years, revealed that they had filed for divorce last year. The Confessions of a Shopaholic actress, 48, and Borat star, 52, married in 2010 and have three children.

In a joint statement shared on their respective Instagram Stories on April 5, Fischer and Cohen wrote, “After more than twenty years of long tennis matches, we are finally putting down our rackets. In 2023 we jointly file to end our marriage,” over a photo of them wearing matching tennis outfits.
Their statement continued, “We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change. We always share our devotion and love towards our children. We sincerely appreciate you respecting our family’s wishes for privacy.”
Cohen told The New York Times in 2020 that they first met at a party in Sydney, Australia in 2000. They got engaged in 2004 and tied the knot six years later. “She was hilarious. We were at a very pompous party, and he and I bonded over taking responsibility for other people at the party. I knew immediately. I don’t know if he did it or not,” he told the outlet.
Throughout their decade-long marriage, Fischer and Cohen have kept their personal lives out of the spotlight. The Now You See Me star once admitted she was “nervous” about talking about her personal life.
She said, “I get nervous talking about it because I feel like not making our relationship public and not talking about how we met, or not talking publicly about our marriage, It has remained personal and valuable to me.” Australian Women’s Weekly.
