New Delhi. A man in England has sued iPhone maker Apple for $6.3 million, blaming it for his costly divorce. According to a report in UK-based publication The Times, the unidentified man claims that his wife found out about his affairs with sex workers through their shared iMac, where his iMessages remained even after they were deleted from his iPhone. The man was unaware that Apple’s sync feature keeps messages secure across devices with the same Apple ID. When his wife found this evidence, she filed for divorce.
According to reports, this unknown person has taken legal action against the iPhone maker through London-based legal firm Rosenblatt. The lawsuit focuses on the argument that the iMessage function lacks clarity regarding the deletion of messages on different devices. The man believes that if this disclosure had not happened in this way, then perhaps there would have been a chance to save the marriage. The man argues that his wife came to know about this in a very wrong way. According to him, if he had been able to talk to his wife in a rational way, then he might not have felt so wrong about this and they would probably have been married.

The man told the Times that if you are told that a message has been deleted, then you have the right to believe that it has been deleted. The man said that if the message had said that these messages have been deleted only from this device, then you would still have a hint to understand. He further said that the messages have been deleted only in this device. Saying this would have indicated more clearly.
He is now seeking legal action to hold Apple accountable and is considering filing a class action lawsuit to represent others who may have faced similar situations due to technical miscommunication. He wants to file a class action lawsuit for other men who don’t know how to use their phones.
Let us tell you that if you are an Apple device user, then you do not want to share your data with anyone and want to keep it private. So either do not sync text messages with all devices or make sure that iCloud is turned on for messages.
