The single-member inquiry commission constituted by the Uttarakhand government to probe alleged irregularities in the competitive examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) on September 21, 2025, submitted its interim report to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday. The commission is chaired by Justice (retd) UC Dhyani.

According to the CMO, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Commission, after holding extensive public hearings and collecting suggestions from the candidates and stakeholders, has submitted the report within a commendably short time frame.
He said that the state government will review the report and take a decision in the interest of the candidates. He further said that a CBI inquiry has already been recommended to ensure complete impartiality in the case.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the government is fully committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency and credibility of recruitment examinations. He said that going forward, every possible effort will be made to ensure that there are no irregularities in any recruitment process, so that the candidates and their families have full confidence in the examination system of the state.
Earlier, Dhami addressed the recent UKSSSC exam paper leak incident and assured that his government has taken immediate action to maintain fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.
According to the CMO, CM Dhami said that as soon as the matter came to light, the officials arrested the accused and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the entire examination process.
The Chief Minister said, “We are committed to ensure that the youth of Uttarakhand do not face injustice.”
Taking aim at the opposition, Dhami accused the rival parties of politicizing the issue.
He said, “The opposition tried to use this issue politically by shielding the students and attempting to create unrest in the state. People who once questioned the CBI and ED investigation are now demanding a CBI investigation in this case to gain political mileage.”
The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) Graduate Level Competitive Examination 2025 has come under intense scrutiny following allegations of malpractices, prompting the state government to launch a judicially monitored probe.
