The Indian Postal Department (India Post) is soon going to release the India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Merit List 2024 for 44,228 vacancies in 23 post circles across the country. Once released, candidates can check and download the merit list through the official portal of India Post indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
The GDS merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in class 10th/matriculation from approved boards. Along with the merit list, the organization will release the cut-off marks and other details.
As per the previous records, the authority releases the merit list two to three days after the correction window facility ends. This year, the correction window was open from August 6 to August 8. The registration process was conducted from July 15 to August 5, 2024.
India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Steps to Check Merit List
Once out, the GDS merit list can be checked by following these steps
Step 1: Visit the official website of India Post, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the India Post GDS Merit List 2024 link.
Step 3: The list will open on your screen in PDF format containing the name and roll number of the candidate.
Step 4: Download the file and keep it safe for future reference.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM) and Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak posts in 23 circles across the country. These posts are spread across several states, including 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,338 in Chhattisgarh and 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh.
Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be notified through SMS and their registered email addresses. They must appear for the document verification round to get final appointment to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak in their respective circles. Dates for this will be notified through SMS. In addition, the shortlisted candidates will have to submit an undertaking in the format attached as Annexure-IX regarding liability in case of submission of fake/wrong information/details in the form.

Candidates are required to get the following documents verified through the Divisional Head mentioned against their name:
–– Original mark sheets of class 10/SSC/SSLC
–– Caste certificate (if applicable)
–– Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable)
–– 60 days Computer Knowledge Trained Certificate from a recognized Institute.
