Registrar of three IITs and directors of three IITs called for discussion on automation, research aid and value-based leadership in the administration in IIT Mandi.
IIT Mandi along with 18 IIT Registrar and 3 directors hosted the 3-day Registrar Conclave, who are participating in the event.
In a major step towards academic rule and enhancing administrative efficiency, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has kicted the conclusion of all the three -day IITs Registrar, which brings senior administrators from 18 IITs across the country. The event, starting on April 18, is one of the largest meetings of registrars in the IIT system and is aimed at re -define the role of administration in a developed educational landscape.
The inauguration of the conclave is Pro. Laxmidhar Behera, Director, IIT Mandi, and Prof. Rajiv Ahuja, Director, was in the presence of IIT Ropper, which is Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, director, along with Jammu, addressing the participants, addresses almost the participants. IIT registrars including Delhi, Bombay, Kanpur, Guwahati and Rokey are participating in this high-level discussion.
Pay attention to governance, automation and research aid
The conclave focuses on important topics such as strengthening academic administration, running institutional automation, and increasing administrative assistance in research – both from Indian and international perspectives.
Pro. Lakshmidhar Behera highlighted the importance of the original-based leadership, which attracts knowledge from the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. “Every challenge in life or governance is a solution in the Gita,” he commented, urged the registrars that they make transparent, skilled and student-centric systems inherent in moral principles.
Director of IIT Ropar Prof.. Rajiv Ahuja talked about the required role of the Registrar in maintaining the continuation of the institute and preserving the global reputation of the IIT brand. While reflecting his time in Sweden, he shared an insight on “the role of administration in research: Indian and European perspective”.
Almost addressing the Conclave, Prof. IIT Jammu Director Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur emphasized the importance of automation beyond laboratory settings. He encouraged the registrars to lead the allegations to change administrative practices, saying, “Registrar should be at the forefront of this change.”
Strengthen administrative spine
Dr. Kumar Sanbhav Pandey, Registrar of IIT Mandi and host of Conclave, said that the event reflects a collective commitment for the governance responsible, technical-capable and mission-operated in Indian higher education. “This conclave is a step towards building the administrative spine of top institutions in the country,” he said.
