The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur is set to introduce artificial intelligence in classrooms with an aim to transform the way students learn and acquire knowledge. The announcement was made on the institute’s 10th Foundation Day on Monday, September 23, 2024.
Addressing the event, IIM Sambalpur Director Prof. Mahadev Jaiswal said that the implementation of AI in classrooms will enable transformational learning experiences. Prof. Jaiswal also spoke about the plan to hold a Women Empowerment Summit in February to further the goals of a developed India.
He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and others who contributed to the building of the institute.
MCL Chairman and Managing Director Uday A. Kaole, who graced the event as the Chief Guest, congratulated IIM Sambalpur for its achievements and lauded Professor Jaiswal for his successful leadership.
Other key speakers on the occasion included Chief Guest Dr. Anurag Batra, Nishita Baliarsingh, Co-Founder and CEO, Nexus Power, and Anindya Ghosh, Associate Partner, IBM.
IDE Bootcamp 2nd Edition Phase I Inaugurated
Along with the Foundation Day celebrations, its second edition was also organised. Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Bootcamp Phase 1 launched. The initiative is scheduled to run till September 27, 2024, led by the Ministry of Education, AICTE, and the Innovation Cell (MIC) of the Ministry of Education.
It aims to nurture innovation, design and entrepreneurial skills among student innovators across India, a press release said.

The bootcamp was organised simultaneously at nine prestigious institutions across the country, attended by over 3000 student innovators and innovation ambassadors from higher education institutions across the country, the release said.
Bootcamp Exhibition
As a part of the event, an exhibition was organized by innovators and startups, in which more than 70 startups from across the country showcased their unique products related to technology products, agricultural products and healthcare products etc.
