The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur celebrated its 16th Foundation Day on October 11, 2025, as eminent leaders from academia and industry came together to reflect on the journey of the institute and envision its role in shaping the workforce of the future.

Three distinguished guests participated in this program, Prof. Bharat Bhaskar, Director, IIM Ahmedabad; Sambasivan G, CFO, Tata Play; and Rajeev Jain, Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing, DS Group.
During the programme, faculty and staff members were honored for their unwavering commitment through appreciation certificates.

Additionally, outstanding PhD scholars were recognized for their academic excellence and research contributions, reaffirming the Institute’s strong emphasis on fostering innovation and advancing knowledge.
Director-in-charge Professor Sanjeev Parashar said that over the last sixteen years, IIM Raipur has not only built a strong academic ecosystem but has also emerged as a hub of innovation, research and industry collaboration.
Professor Parashar said, “As we look ahead, our focus is on nurturing future-ready leaders who can navigate complexities with agility, empathy and purpose. We are committed to expanding our global footprint, deepening our industry connectivity and making a meaningful impact for society.”
Director of IIM Ahmedabad, Prof. Bharat Bhaskar emphasized the importance of human-centric leadership as well as technical fluency, and Sambasivan Ji, CFO of Tata Play, highlighted the growing demand for multidisciplinary and agile thinking in corporate decision making.
Similarly, Rajiv Jain, senior vice president, corporate marketing, DS Group, emphasized how brand storytelling and consumer-centricity are reshaping marketing in a fast-changing world.

Over the last sixteen years, the institute has made many remarkable achievements, securing a prominent position in the national rankings and increasing its PGP student strength to 343 in 2025.
It may be mentioned here that IIM Raipur has recently recorded exceptional placement results for the class of 2025, with the highest CTC achieved. 43.4 LPA, and average and median CTC 19.7 LPA and 18.5 LPA respectively, said a press statement.
The institute has also established international collaborations and is in the final stages of achieving AACSB international accreditation, the statement said.
Going forward, the institute aims to further expand its academic portfolio by launching new MBA and Executive MBA programmes, setting up a dedicated center for entrepreneurship, setting up research and centers of excellence and strengthening its incubation center to promote innovation, research and entrepreneurial development.
Meanwhile, the event also featured a thought-provoking panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Ritu Gupta, which provided deep insights into the evolving landscape of skills shaping the workforce of tomorrow.
Panelists shared compelling perspectives on digital transformation, innovation, adaptability and ethical leadership, and emphasized their role in defining competencies for the next generation of professionals.
