Out of 780 graduates, 517 were B.Tech. Are included. graduates, 226 M.Tech. students including three M.Tech. dual degree holders, and 34 Ph.D. Student.
517 B.Tech. Students graduated from IIIT Delhi this year.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi celebrated its 14th convocation by conferring degrees to 780 graduates in UG, PG and Doctoral programmes. This includes 517 B.Tech. graduates, 226 M.Tech. students including three M.Tech. dual degree holders, and 34 Ph.D. Student.
B.Tech students Arnav Aggarwal and Nalish Jain won the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, while M.Tech student Puneet Kumar received the gold medal for excellent academic performance.
Chancellor, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinay Kumar Saxena congratulated the students and appreciated the teachers, parents, mentors, friends and supporters who stood by them throughout their journey.
Chief Guest, Dr. Anand Deshpande, Founder and Chairman of Persistent Systems, said that the well-trained and enthusiastic young graduates of IIIT Delhi will play a vital role in reshaping technology and engineering as India moves towards sustainable development, which is essential to realize Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a self-reliant and developing India.
Director of IIIT-Delhi, Prof. Ranjan Bose said, “The experiences you bring away from here will shape how you tackle the challenges of tomorrow. As you step into a world that requires your ingenuity, courage and compassion, choose paths that excite your intellectual passion, ignite your creativity and direct your abilities productively. At IIIT-Delhi, we have taught you to take challenges as opportunities – to think differently, learn from mistakes and Opportunities to realize your true potential. Be leaders, innovators and change-makers, but always lean on kindness and compassion.”
Professor Rajesh Srivastava, Chairman of the Board of Governors, commented, “IIIT-Delhi continues to embody the spirit of innovation, excellence and social impact envisioned at the time of its inception.
