1. Mall Road, Shimla
Mall Road of Shimla is quite famous. If you go to visit Shimla and do not visit Mall Road, then your trip will be considered incomplete. Shimla Mall Road is a crowded market with decorated shops, cafes etc. on both sides, built in British style and reminiscent of the era of British rule. However, now this place is a center of attraction among tourists. Along with shopping here, you can experience the delicious food and culture of Shimla.
The tricolor flag is always flying high in the middle market. The entire Shimla can also be seen from here. In the evening, the view of the beautiful twinkling lights of the city from here is quite enjoyable. You can come to Shimla Mall Road for shopping from 11 am to 8 pm. However, you can come here even after 8 pm to roam around and sip tea and coffee.
2. Jakhu Temple
There is a huge and grand Hanuman temple in Shimla which can be seen from any corner of the city. A huge statue of Hanuman ji stands on the highest peak of Shimla. Those who see this grand saffron colored statue from a distance want to visit the temple closely. Along with cable car facility, there is private taxi service for Jakhu temple. Jakhu temple is on a high peak about two and a half kilometers from Mall Road. You will get the facility of stairs or lift from the main entrance of the temple. Apart from the huge statue of Hanumanji, a temple is also built above. The entire Shimla can be seen from this height. There is also a small canteen and some prasad shops here. Those coming to Shimla must visit Jakhu Temple.
3. Kufri
You can reach Kufri by traveling about 40 minutes from Shimla. Kufri is called winter wonderland. A lot of snow accumulates here in the hilly areas. Kufri is popular for its snowfall, horse riding and skiing. If you want to enjoy exciting activities then definitely visit Kufri. You can go from Shimla to Kufri by road. Direct buses go to Kufri from Shimla, Narkanda and Ranpur.
4. Chail
Be sure to visit Chail, famous as a quiet and picturesque tourist destination. Chail is known for its Palace Hotel. Chail is about 47 km from Shimla. Chail can be reached by traveling for two hours. Chail is popular for its beautiful valleys, dense trees and snowy hills all around.
5. Narkanda
Narkanda is situated at a distance of about 60 kilometers from Shimla. This is a very beautiful place and is situated at a very high altitude. Here you can do camping and adventure. Snowfall also occurs here, which you can enjoy between November and January. Many tourists come here every year.
