Anurag said that the music of many of his films is still liked today, but he got very little money for that work. He jokingly said, ‘If Bhushan Kumar is not buying it, then music is good!’. He says that his films whose songs have not been forgotten till date, they got no equal money for the same songs. Anurag says that the music of films like ‘Dev D’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Gulal’ is still in the favorite list of fans, but the T-series made them nominally paid in return.

Talking about this, the director said, ‘He earned a lot from the music of these films, but I did not get anything special. They only pay money to Star Power, not the quality of music. He also told that he got the most money for the music of ‘Bombay Velvet’, but the irony was that the music of that film did not like much.
