Between the ongoing Hindi language line and MNS ‘Slapgate’ incident, an old video of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray came out on social media and went viral.
In the video, Bal Thackeray speaks in Marathi, saying that he could be a Marathi in Maharashtra, but he is also a Hindu. “I can be a Marathi in Maharashtra, but I am a Hindu in India,” he is heard saying in the video.
Referring to the attack, Raj said that news channels revealed that a Gujarati person was attacked, but his identity was not known to MNS workers when the change began. “There is no need to hit anyone without any reason. But if someone plays, one is to be slapped. But they must be at fault (to do so).”
“And whenever you do this, do not shoot the video. The person who becomes a hit should say that he has been beaten up and not what he hits. It does not mean that there is a need to hit someone,” Raj said.
