US President Donald Trump on Tuesday expressed strong disappointment in Russian President Vladimir Putin. He mentioned that his administration was preparing measures aimed at reducing the toll of death in the ongoing war in Ukraine, although he did not provide specific details.
Trump, a Republican, also said that he was not worried about the growing relations between Russia and China.

Trump held a summit with Putin in Alaska in mid -August and later met Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanceki and lead European and NATO leaders at the White House, as Reuters.
After the meetings, Trump said he hoped that Zelansky and Putin will hold a bilateral meeting before a tripartite meeting that would also include Trump. Zelansky has said that Russia was doing everything to stop a meeting between him and Putin, while Russia says the agenda was not ready for such a meeting.
“I am very disappointed in President Putin,” Trump said in an interview at the Scott Jenning Radio Show, I can say that, and we are doing something to help people live. “
Trump has told Zelansky that Washington will help guarantee Ukraine’s safety in any deal. Trump has renewed a threat to implement further sanctions on Russia, if there is no progress towards peaceful settlement in Ukraine.
Russia is ranked fifth of Ukraine, and Trump has stated that “land-swapping” and changes in the region will be important for any disposal.
Ukraine opposed the idea of legally recognizing any Ukrainian region as Russian. But it has been accepted that it would definitely have to accept some real regional losses, the Reuters said.
Trump was also asked in an interview whether he was “concerned with China and Russia about an axis against the United States.”
Trump said: “I am not worried at all.” He said, “We have the strongest army in the world, till now they will never use their army on us. Believe me.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin for talks in China, referring to him as his “old friend”.
Meanwhile, American Treasury Secretary Scott Besant on Monday told Fox News that the administration would review the possible reactions for Russia including restrictions later this week.
Earlier, on Monday, Xi also met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India has faced criticism from President Trump due to continuous purchase of Russian oil.
