New Delhi. Korean carmaker Hyundai has unveiled the Hyundai Inster electric micro SUV. Inster will be Hyundai’s entry-level electric SUV. This car is a modified electric version of the popular Casper sub-compact micro SUV. Most of the design language of Inster is shared with Casper. The company has extended the platform of Casper by 230 mm, of which 180 mm has been added to its wheelbase.
In terms of design, this vehicle also looks similar to Casper. Talking about the dimensions, the Inster EV is 3,825 mm in length, 1,610 mm in width and 1,575 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. It has a boot space of 280 liters and can be expanded to 351 liters with folding rear seats. On the side, the Inster has chunky wheel arches with four-spoke alloy wheels. Other highlights include pillar-mounted rear door handles, roof rails and several cuts along the crease that give it a sharp look.

New look with fresh design
The interior layout is very different from other Hyundai models. You will get a retro touch inside. Talking about the features, it gets twin 10.25-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen, automatic climate control, wireless charger, three-spoke steering wheel with steering column-mounted drive mode selector, ventilated front seats, 360-degree surround camera, ambient lighting, blind spot monitor, sunroof, ADAS suite and more.
The range will be awesome
Now talking about the electric motor and battery, the Inster will be offered with two battery pack options – 42kWh and 49kWh. Both will have a single electric motor that will produce 95bhp for the smaller pack and 113bhp, 147Nm of torque for the larger battery pack.
Both battery packs use nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) chemistry and all Insters get a heat pump and 85kW (DC) charging capacity. Talking about the drive range, the Inster can get a drive range of up to 355 kilometers (355 Km) on a single charge.
