New Delhi: Nagarjuna has rejected Konda Surekha’s apology and filed another defamation case against the minister. Telangana politician Konda Surekha had claimed a few days ago that there was a rift in the relationship between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu because of KTR. This has created a big controversy and Nagarjuna filed a defamation case against Konda Surekha. Now he has also filed another defamation case of Rs 100 crore.
Speaking to Times Now, Nagarjuna said, ‘We filed a criminal defamation case yesterday. We are in the process of filing another defamation case of Rs 100 crore against him. His derogatory comments cannot be hidden. Now she says that she is withdrawing her comment. He has apparently apologized to Samantha. What about my family? Not even a word of apology from me or my family.
Nagarjuna gave a befitting reply
When the actor was asked whether he would withdraw the case after the minister’s apology, he said, ‘Absolutely not. It is no longer personal. The notoriety has reached far beyond just me and my family. The support we are receiving from the biggest to the smallest names in the Telugu industry has made me realize that we are in the process of stopping the rot that has seeped into the core of our system. You cannot use our name for political gain. We people of the entertainment industry will no longer become easy targets. Its as simple as that. I am hopeful that our legal action against the minister will deter other politicians from using our names in a derogatory manner.
Film industry people angry with Konda Surekha
Surekha had claimed that Rama Rao was responsible for the split between Naga Chaitanya and Samantha, which sparked a wave of controversy. According to Surekha, KTR’s alleged interference led to discord in the Akkineni family, which led to divorce between Samantha and Naga. Konda Surekha claimed that KT Rama Rao had demanded that if Nagarjuna Akkineni wanted to save his N-Convention Centre, he should send Samantha to him. According to Konda Surekha, when Samantha Ruth Prabhu refused, it led to her separation from Naga Chaitanya.
