However, in this segment, Honda is also giving tough competition to Hero MotoCorp on the basis of its lineup of commuter bikes. Honda launched Shine 100 with 100cc engine in the Indian market last year. Now the company has announced that 3 lakh units of this bike have been sold in a year. Honda Shine 100 competes directly with Hero Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe.
The company says that in the last financial year, there has been a tremendous increase in the demand for bikes in the 100-110cc segment. Currently, the company is operating more than 6,000 touchpoints across the country, where services are available for all types of Honda bikes. Honda also organized a mega delivery event in many cities to celebrate the Shine 100th anniversary.
How is the Honda 100
Talking about Shine 100, it has a 100 cc single cylinder air cooled engine. This bike comes with fuel injection and Honda eSP technology for better mileage. Apart from this, the engine has been designed according to the updated BS6 RDE rules. The fuel pump in this bike is outside the tank and it comes with an auto choke system. This bike generates 7.5 bhp of power and 8.5 Nm of torque.
Great warranty on the bike
The company is giving customers an attractive 6-year warranty with this bike. This includes a 3-year standard warranty along with a 3-year extended warranty. Talking about some of the standard features of this bike, it has some basic features like analog instrument cluster, combi brake system (CBS), equalizer, side stand engine cutoff switch. Talking about mileage, you will easily get a mileage of 65 kmpl in it. The company has fixed the price of Shine 100 at Rs 65,011 (ex-showroom).
