New Delhi: Housefull is one of the most popular film franchises and ever since its fifth installment was announced, the audience has been eagerly waiting for it. And now, there is another good news for movie lovers, as producer Sajid Nadiadwala brings another exciting announcement of Abhishek Bachchan joining back in the star-studded cast. Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Ritesh Deshmukh and Chunky Pandey are in lead roles in the film. And now, Abhishek Bachchan is coming on board with his brilliant comedy timing. In such a situation, people can expect even more laughter and entertainment from the film. Its shooting will start in the UK in August 2024.
Expressing his happiness, Sajid Nadiadwala said, ‘I am thrilled to bring Abhishek back to the Housefull franchise. His dedication, comic timing and honesty will elevate our film. On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan shared, ‘Housefull is one of my favorite comedy franchises, and coming back feels like returning home. I am very excited to collaborate again with my special friend Tarun Mansukhani. I am excited to work with him again after Dostana. This is going to be a lot of fun.
Housefull is also the first Hindi cinema franchise to reach a fifth installment. All the films released before this have been superhit and have performed well at the box office. Housefull 5 will be released on the big screen on 6 June 2025. The first Housefull film was released in 2010 and featured Akshay Kumar along with Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta and Chunky Pandey in the lead roles. The second film of the franchise hit theaters in 2012. On the other hand, Housefull 3 and 4 were released in 2016 and 2019. Housefull 5 will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani and will hit the theaters in 2024.
