In a statement on Friday, the interim government said that this demand has been raised due to allegations of ‘dictatorship and terrorist activities’ under the Awami League government. The interim government has said that the government has established contact with political parties in this regard and will take a decision soon after discussion with them. In this regard, the government is also taking into account the United Nations report on terrorist activities of Awami League leaders and supporters.
Terrorist organization also told the student league
The interim government also called the student organization of Awami League, student league as ‘terrorist organization’. The organization was immediately banned after former Prime Minister Hasina withdrew from power. This statement said that apart from this, initiative has been taken to bring necessary amendments in the International Criminal Tribunal Act to take action against the organizations involved in crimes against humanity.
Meanwhile, former Bangladesh President Abdul Hameed left the country on Thursday, after the collapse of the Awami League government months after Hasina’s withdrawal of power, a case was also registered against Hameed, alleging attack and firing on a demonstration during a nationwide student movement in Kishoreganj.
An immigration officer while talking to the media said when he was asked why Hameed was allowed to leave the country despite the allegations? He said that we were aware of the case registered against him in Kishoreganj. However, no travel ban was issued by the court or the Anti -Corruption Commission (ACC) regarding his departure. Therefore, there was no legal ban on his foreign trip. Apart from this, their physical condition is also not good.
