The Meteorological Department of India (IMD) “warned for the next few days against very heavy rains in east, central and parts of western India.” The Meteorological Agency estimated heavy rainfall in West Bengal, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Maharashtra and issued a red warning for 25 July.
Many states are on the Orange alert of IMD today, including Bihar Jharkhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh.
“Chhattisgarh on 25th and 26th, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Widarabh and Gangetic West Bengal on 25 July on 25th July, on 25 July, there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall,” IMD said in its latest weather bulletin. It warned against the active monsoon conditions on Central and East India along with the West Coast and adjacent Ghat areas over the next 4 days.
