Health Tips for Today: With heat wave conditions in many parts of the country, it is very important to take care of your health. Many times we give up exercise in the name of heat or start consuming beverages that contain a lot of sugar. Staying active in the summer can be a challenging task. However, by modifying your routine with the right exercise, you can beat the heat and stay fit during summers.

Here are some exercises to do during the summer season

1. Swimming: Swimming is not only a refreshing way to get relief from the heat but also an excellent full body workout. It provides many health benefits while keeping you cool. It is a low-impact exercise that is gentle on the joints, making it suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. If you don’t know swimming, this is the best sport to learn.

2. Aqua Yoga or Water Aerobics:If swimming isn’t something you want to learn, opting for water aerobics or aqua yoga is another great exercise option. Water aerobics is suitable for all fitness levels and ages, and you don’t need to know how to swim to participate. Aqua yoga on the other hand offers many benefits, including improved flexibility, strength and balance as well as stress relief and relaxation.

3. Yoga: If your working hours are late and you have free time in the morning, then doing yoga outside is the best option. Before 11 am, the temperature is cool and pleasant and it is very relaxing to do yoga in the garden. But if you want to try yoga in the afternoon or evening, opt for some indoor classes.

4. Indoor Games: Indoor sports provide a great way to stay active and escape the heat. Unlike outdoor activities, which can be uncomfortable in high temperatures, indoor sports provide a cool and comfortable environment. Instead of doing heavy exercise, consider playing indoor sports like badminton, tennis or basketball. You can also opt for indoor yoga, pilates and Zumba among other activities.

5. Morning walk or cycling: If going to the gym and doing heavy exercise isn’t your cup of tea, consider early morning or late evening walks and cycling as excellent alternatives during the summer months. Even if you go to the gym, it is advised to avoid heavy exercise. Instead, focus on cardio workouts and floor exercises to stay active and fit.
