According to the information given, the last date for application was 26 August which has been extended to 31 August. According to the report, the college principal Dr Rajendra Purohit made this announcement. This month the institute got approval to start BBA and BCA courses. 33 other government colleges of Rajasthan were also approved.

To download the application form, candidates can visit the official website of the institute https://hte.rajasthan.gov.in/college/gcbikaner. According to more information, after filling the form, it has to be submitted in the Commerce Department between 11 am to 2 pm.
Government Dungar College, Bikaner was founded in the year 1873 by Maharaja Shri Dungar Singhji, who was the 20th ruler of Bikaner state as per the official website. At the time of its establishment, it was called Durbar School. After the demise of Shri Dungar Singhji, on September 25, 1912, his brother renamed the institution as Dungar Memorial College. In 1928, the institute started its college-level education. Degree classes in the institute started in the year 1937 and in the same year the college was separated from the school. It was named Sardool School.
According to more information on the website, by 1940, subjects of physics and chemistry were taught in the intermediate science faculty. By 1942, degree-level science and law departments were started as well as postgraduate departments of Hindi, Sanskrit, English, history and economics. In 1951, Dungar College was one of only five postgraduate institutions in Rajasthan.
