Heavy rains continued to bat to Bengaluru on Tuesday and disrupt normal life. People were seen passing through deep knee water, and traffic jams were reported in many parts of the city.
In Karnataka, the toll of rain -related death was five.
Due to severe waterfalls, the Sai Layout in Bengaluru met an island. Ground floors of houses were half-colored in this area.
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar said on Tuesday that the officials are on the field and are participating in the issues below, and there is no need to worry.
Shivkumar, who is also the minister in charge of Bengaluru development, said that the government is committed to protect the lives and assets of the people.
Officials said about 150 people were rescued and transferred to safe places on Monday.

The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palik (BBM) had provided food and water for the people in the SAI layout.
Passengers had a harsh time through deep knee water at many places, including Matata Tech Park, including several multinational companies and offices of Silk Board Junctions.
Due to waterlogging, the vehicles were stranded, causing long traffic jams in many parts of the city.
According to the Meteorological Department of India (IMD), Bengaluru has received about 30 mm of rain in the last 24 hours.
Shivkumar told reporters that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will go to some rain -affected places tomorrow.
He said, “I visited some places last night. No matter where we are, our duty is to save the pride of Bengaluru, and we will do it.”
Assam: Heavy rain burns Guwahati
Overnight heavy rains on Tuesday disrupted the movement of vehicles and normal lives in several roads and residential areas in Guwahati, Assam.
In some areas of the city, people were seen passing through deep knee water, while in many areas, the water level reached the chest.
Floods were reported from Zoo Road, Nabin Nagar, Hatigone, Ganeshguri, Geeta Nagar, Maligon, Hedeetpur, Guwahati Club, Ulubari, Lachita Nagar, Chandamari and Punjabri.
Several schools announced the closure of “flood” campus and roads across the city.
Hundreds of houses accumulated rainwater in the city ‘Smart’, and there were reports of power cuts in many areas.
The IMD has predicted more weather than Assam for the next 2-3 days, expecting heavy to heavy rainfall in different parts of the state.
An official release said, “According to the data recorded on May 20, 2025, several places in Guwahati have already received adequate rainfall, including 112.5 mm at the Guwahati AWS station.”
Maharashtra: Hoarding Falls in Pune amid heavy rains
Due to heavy rains and strong winds, a hoarding collapsed in Pune on Tuesday, implicating several two-wheelers under it.
There was no injury in the incident.
The hoarding collapsed in Sanswadi area near Wagoli on Ahilyanagar Road in Pune.
In social media videos, the huge hoardings lying on the ground near the shops are shown, which appears to be a very busy area. The bike can be seen stuck under the structure.
