Carrot Cream
Winter is incomplete without delicious sweet carrot halwa. The main ingredient of the dish is carrots – a seasonal winter vegetable. It is prepared with milk, dry fruits, cardamom and jaggery (if one wants to avoid sugar). It is creamy with lots of crunchy flavor which fills every spoonful of halwa with aromatic flavour. Pitha
A winter dish from the eastern states of West Bengal, Bihar, Assam and Odisha, pitha is basically a sweet dumpling with a variety of fillings ranging from coconut to jaggery. The variety of pitha will undoubtedly satisfy your sweet tooth. From Doodh Puli to Bhapa Pitha, these winter dishes are a must try. It is also a festive sweet, eaten during Makar Sankranti, Paush Parbon and Bihu.
Sarson Ka Saag
A traditional Punjabi dish, Sarson Ka Saag has a rich, strong flavour. It is prepared from mustard greens and spinach. Sarson ka saag is mainly served with makki di roti. It is not only a favorite winter dish but is also very healthy. It increases immunity during winter season and is rich in nutrients.

undhiyu
Another regional speciality, Undhiyu, is from Gujarat. It is a winter dish prepared with fresh, seasonal vegetables like brinjal, sweet potatoes, green beans and fenugreek leaves along with spices and ghee. It is served with roti or puri and sweet dish shrikhand. The word Undhiyu means “upside down pot”, originating from its original cooking method, where the dish is prepared in a pot that is inverted and cooked underground.
for laddu
If you are not a fan of extremely sweet dishes, Til ke Laddu will definitely win you over, impress you and make you change teams. Made from sesame seeds, peanuts and jaggery, Til Laddu is crisp and has a nice, nutty aroma. With just a few ingredients, these laddus are surprisingly easy to make.
