Force Motors has finally launched its 5 door Gurkha SUV in the Indian market. The company has started its booking for Rs 25,000. Along with this, the company has also launched the 3 door variant of Gurkha with updates. The price of Force Gurkha 5 door variant has been fixed at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom), while the new 3 door model has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 16.75 lakh.
The design of Force Gurkha 5 door and 3 door variants is similar, although there is a difference in the size and wheelbase of both. Apart from this, the same engine with updated features has been used in both the SUVs.
Force Gurkha 5-Door
Talking about Gurkha 5-door, it has been introduced in boxy design like the 3 door variant. Like before, it has LED headlights, LED DRL and Gurkha badging on the grill. Its dashboard has a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with which Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity is also available. Apart from this, a factory fitted snorkel is also available in it. The spare wheel is attached to the boot door of the SUV. 18-inch machine cut alloy wheels have been installed in the 5-door variant. There is also an option to mount tires on the roof. In the 5-door variant, seats are provided in three rows, in which the middle seats are in bench design while the last row has two captain seats. Gurkha 5 door variant can seat 7 people.
Gurkha 3-door also updated
Now the company is also offering 18-inch alloy wheels in the 3 door variant of Gurkha. The dashboard layout has also been updated. In this variant, the company has given the option of power window only in the front. In the 3-door too, the company has provided a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system which comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. In both the variants, the company has provided manual AC function and digital driver display.
Safety is also excellent
Force Motors has taken special care of passenger safety in Gurkha. Many safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, tire pressure monitoring system, seat belt alarm, seat belt pre-tensioner have been provided in both the variants.
The engine is also powerful
Force has used a 2.6 liter diesel engine sourced from Mercedes in both the variants of Gurkha. This engine is capable of generating maximum power of 140 bhp and peak torque of 320 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. 4X4 drivetrain option is available in both models.
