Gorkha, an off-road SUV force of India, has been officially added to the Indian defense forces fleet. Force Motors has revealed that it has received an order for 2,978 units of Gorkha from these forces.
The company emphasized that these vehicles are specially designed to meet various operating requirements of both the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, which highlights the ability to provide vehicles to the force motors that are ready to deploy missions in the event of rescuers.
In particular, Force Motors have a long history of serving the defense sector with their Gorkha LSV (light strike vehicle). Force Gurkha has been engineered with focus on off-road capabilities, with significant ground withdrawal, impressive water wading capacity and a strong 4×4 driven for off-road performance. Its design and mechanical setup aims to adjust a wide range of areas, from deserts to mountainous regions.
These characteristics make it suitable for use in scenarios that require frequent performance in a challenging environment, such as faced by military units during the operation of the region. Prasan Firodia, managing director of Force Motors, said, “Our vehicle is engineer with emphasis on quality, reliability, durability and performance, which originally aligns with the operational requirements of our defense personnel. This order reflects confidence and belief that the Indian defense forces have the force motors.”

What are the specifications of Force Gorkha?
Force Gorkha is introduced in two configurations: a 3-door and 5-door version. Both models are equipped with a 2.6-liter turbocharged intercold diesel engine. This updated engine produces 138 bhp and provides a peak torque of 320 nm. The torque is available in a broad range, providing increased highway performance from 1,400 rpm to 2,600 rpm. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission, and the vehicle has both front and back locking differences for off-road capacity.

What are the features of Force Gorkha?
In terms of features, Force Gorkha gets 18-inch alloy wheels, leading a 7-inch digital instrument console for off-roader with a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leading the model to speed up the model with new creatures. Along with 2024, the 4WD shifter is also switched to the shift-on-fly rotor knob between the manual lever from the front seats.
