ISSA-certified nutritionist, in a video shared by Heena Bedi on Instagram on 5 April, the health affected shared a diet plan for those who want to lose weight and weigh 80 kg or more. He said, “Here is a brief diet plan for men or women above 80 kg, which aims for healthy weight loss, better digestion and continuous energy.”
Weight loss diet plan for those weighing 80 kg or more
Diet Plan Hina did the food options for food shared on Instagram, an empty stomach, snacks, lunch and dinner on dinner. He suggested eating the same food for all 7 days. Here the daily structure nutritionist suggested:
1. Early morning (on an empty stomach)
• Hot water with lemon or apple cider vinegar
• 5 soaked almonds + 2 walnuts
2. Breakfast (high protein + fiber)
• Option 1: Vegetable Oats/Poha/Upma
• Option 2: Besan Chaila or Moong Dal Chila
• Options 3: 2 boiled eggs, 1 multigraine toast, and cucumber
• Add: 1 fruit (apple, papaya, or banana)
3. Middle morning breakfast
• Coconut water or green tea
• 1 fruit or some Makhan
4. Lunch
• 1-2 multigrain rotis or 1 bowl of brown rice
• Dal/Rajma/Chola/Grilled Paneer or Tofu
• Mixed vegetable vegetable
• Salad and Curd
5. Evening snack
• Herbal Tea/Green Tea
• Roasted gram or nuts (a handful)
6. Dinner
• Moong Dal/Vegetarian Soup/Stir
• Grilled cheese, tofu, or lentils
• Optional: 1 Phulka (If Hungry)
7. Dinner after (optional)
• Hot turmeric milk or fennel water
Quick Tips:
The nutritionist also shared some quick suggestions to recall while following the diet of weight loss. What he suggested here:
• Drink 2.5-3 liters of water daily.
• Limit sugar, fried foods and bakery items.
• Include 30 minutes of activity (walking/yoga).
• Eat dinner 2-3 hours before bed.
• Stick for part control.
