After GST deduction and exemption by companies, people are fiercely buying cars in this festive season. Common people are desperate to bring a new car home on the auspicious time of Navratri and Dussehra, but the increasing demand has also increased the problems of dealers. In Gujarat, there has been so much booking of vehicles in many places that customers may have to wait for delivery. Dealers say that the atmosphere of clarity and exemption in prices has inspired customers who have been avoiding purchases for a long time to make decisions immediately.
Record booking near dealers
According to a Times of India report, according to Pranav Shah, Gujarat Chairman of FADA, an organization of automobile dealers, this time the booking has been much more than expected. Especially in the SUV and compact SUV segment, customers are seeing great interest. He said, “The festive season is always good, but this time GST deduction has brought sales to a new height. Dealers are constantly booking and many places may have to wait long for delivery.”
Challenge in delivery
However, delivery of many popular models is not possible immediately due to the problems of the supply chain. Most dealers have limited stocks and vehicles are not reaching time from manufacturers. But despite this, the enthusiasm of customers has not diminished. Jigar Vyas, another dealer in the city, says, “People are booking in large numbers to take advantage of festive offers and auspicious time. Many customers know that they will not get the car on Dussehra, yet they are booking so that they can take a new car.”
