Dwayne Johnson wanted to join the cast of the upcoming film The Devil Wears Prada 2, which stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt. Amid the success of The Smashing Machine, Johnson told Entertainment Weekly that she had offered herself a role that required her to wear “size 15 heels”.

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt recently collaborated on the film The Smashing Machine, which tells the story of MMA fighter Mark Kerr. While Blunt was shooting The Devil Wears Prada 2, Johnson told him of her desire to work in the film.
“I prepared myself. I told her while she was shooting,” Johnson told Entertainment Weekly. Blunt immediately confirmed that she “tried” to get a small role in the David Frankel-directed production.
The 53-year-old described the character he wanted to play in The Devil Wears Prada 2 as “just a guy who knew fashion, which was cool”. On this Blunt told that the character had to walk wearing heels. “Size 15 heels!” Johnson replied.
Blunt joked that Johnson looked great in high heels. He said, “You should see her in heels. Hot.” The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released in 2026 on May 1st.

Unfortunately Dwayne Johnson could not get any role in the film. However, Blunt continued to give him updates about the shooting. “Emily would send me these videos; she was in her car, waiting to get out on the set in New York City, on the streets, she’d say, ‘Look at this!'” Johnson recalled. He said, “It was wild. Like, pop star level scene.”
