DU UG Admission 2024: Delhi University has released the first round of seat allotment graduate program Applications have been invited for admission to various colleges for the academic calendar 2024-25. As per the DU notification, the last date to accept seat allotment is August 18. Candidates must deposit the fees by August 21, 2024.
“Candidates shortlisted in Round I are advised to log in to their dashboard and accept the allotment by 04:59 pm on Sunday (August 18, 2024). They must also ensure to deposit the fees by 04:59 pm on Wednesday (August 21, 2024). Only those candidates who will pay will be able to opt for “upgrade” for the next round,” Delhi University said in a release.
Candidates should note that the university has added a feature on the dashboard through which students can check their entrance exam details. Cutoff and Rank Which determines the seat allocation according to the category and quota of the candidate.
This year, Delhi University is going to admit around 71,600 seats ( extravagantThere are 1559 program college combinations on which admissions will be offered. As per the university notification, the university is offering 1,559 program and college combinations in the academic calendar 2024-25.
According to the data released byDelhi University2,45,287 candidates had applied for the first phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS (UG)). Of these, 1,85,543 applicants completed the second phase of CSAS by submitting their preferences for programme and college combinations. The total number of preferences received by DU was 1,72,18,187.
DU UG Admission 2024: Summary of Seat Allotment in First Round
In the first allotment round, Delhi University decided to make additional allotments to better fill the seats so that the academic session can begin from August 29, 2024. A total of 97,387 allotments have been made in the first round. This does not include allotments for performance-based programmes and additional quotas of CW, ECA, sports and wards, and Christian candidates.
Delhi University will display general rank, cut-off rank, programme-specific rank CUET Score and the cutoff scores for all the programmes for which the candidate has applied. The allotment will be based on the unique common rank, hence, having the same score as the cutoff does not guarantee admission. It should be noted that candidates with the same programme-specific CUET scores may have different ranks. The common rank is determined by applying tie-breaking rules.
There are three major areas of study: performance-based programmes (BA (Hons) Music, BSc … [P.E,H.E&S]BFA) and some additional quotas (Sports, ECA, CW and Wards).
