DU UG Admission 2024: Delhi University (DU) has announced that it will implement single girl child quota in all its courses from the upcoming academic session 2024-2025. DU Registrar Vikas Gupta informed that this is the first step taken by the university, which aims to provide more opportunities for single girl child under the category of supernumerary seats.
The details of identifying eligible single girl child candidates are still being finalised.
The university has opened the registration window for admission to undergraduate courses through the CUET DU CSAS portal ugadmission.uod.ac.in/. Students willing to get admission in CUET UG 2024 courses can fill the online application form on or before the last date.
DU UG Admission 2024: Admission based on CUET Score
Admissions for the academic year 2024-25 will be based on CUET marks for some courses and Class 12 marks for other courses. DU Dean of Admissions Haneet Gandhi said the new session is likely to begin from August 1.
As per the notification, interested candidates should note that admission to all UG programmes of all colleges of UOD will be done on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate) – 2024 (CUET (UG)-2024) only.
DU UG Admission 2024: Three-Step Admission Process
As per the DU notification, the admission process will be conducted in three phases. The first phase will begin with registration on the DU CSAS 2024 portal. The second phase will involve filling preferences for programmes and colleges, and the third phase will involve allotment-cum-admission of the student.
Additionally, a mid-entry option is available for those who missed the initial registration deadline. This allows them to join by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000. ₹ 1,000. However, these late applying applicants cannot claim the seats allotted to other candidates who register on time.
DU UG Admission 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the University of Delhi will be primarily based on the marks obtained in CUET (UG)-2024 only.
DU UG Admission 2024: Application Fee
As per the DU notification, General, OBC, and EWS category students need to pay the registration fee of 250.
SC, ST and PwBD category students will have to pay 100.
Candidates applying for BFA/ BSc (PE, HE&S)/ BA (H) Music will have to pay an additional fee of Rs.400.00 (non-refundable). Similarly, an additional fee of Rs.400.00 will have to be paid. A fee of Rs 100 will be charged from those applying under the sports quota.
