Divya Khosla Kumar calls out Alia Bhatt for misrepresenting the success of her film Jigra. Producer Karan Johar reacted to her with a cryptic post.
Divya Khosla Kumar is not backing down in her feud with the Karan Johar-Alia Bhatt camp (is it too early to call it that?). On Saturday, he made an unusually rambling post on Instagram, accusing Alia of not being candid about the early opening figures of her new film, Jigra. Producer and Alia’s guru Karan Johar later responded with a cryptic post about giving only silence to ‘fools’. Divya did not even take it lying down, she doubled over on her stand and lay down. Divya wrote in her first post, “Jigra had gone to City Mall PVR for the show. The theater was completely empty…all the theaters everywhere were getting empty. #AliaBhatt really has a lot of courage.. do the ticket yourself and declare the fake collection. Wonder why the marketable media is silent? #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra,” he further said.
Karan later shared a quote on his Instagram stories that read, “The best speech given to fools is silence.” He didn’t take Divya’s name but really he didn’t need to.
Similarly, Divya responded with this quote, “The truth will always offend the fools who oppose it.” She posted another IG story, which read, “When you become so accustomed to stealing what belongs to others, you will always take refuge in silence. You will have no voice, no backbone.”
