The Directorate of Education launched ‘Maa Yamuna Cleanliness Campaign’ to teach students about the importance of water conservation and Yamuna river.

The Directorate of Education has launched a one -year campaign called ‘Maa Yamuna Swachhta Abhiyan’ to highlight the importance of keeping the Yamuna river clean. The purpose of this initiative is to educate students on the importance of water conservation and conservation of Yamuna river.
According to the official circular by the DOE, the campaign will run from July 2025 to March 2026 and will include the government, government-aided and private schools under the purview of the Directorate.
According to the circular, schools are directed to conduct monthly activities. The campaign closed with essay writing on the importance of a clean Yamuna in July. In August, drawing and painting competitions will be held, followed by speeches, debates and skits on water conservation and pollution in September.
The Yamuna Play Drive and Awareness Walk will be included in October. Additionally, cultural programs related to Yamuna will be included in annual school functions.

The circular also mentions that the campaign, NSS units and local Delhi JAL board offices, will organize interactive sessions, motivational talks and exhibitions to effectively attach students.
The objective of this initiative is to promote a strong sense of environmental responsibility among the students, supporting the ongoing conservation efforts.
11th Humanity Olympiad in Delhi
Meanwhile, the Delhi government is ready to operate the 11th Humanity Olympiad, as well as spiritual eloquence as well as spiritual eloquence competition and spiritual echoing poetry recitation competition, in all government schools in the national capital, as mentioned by PTI.
According to the official statement, the purpose of these initiatives is to promote human values and moral development among students of class 5 to 12. The Directorate of Education has directed all the heads of government schools under the Education Department to appoint a teacher-committee, preferably to the facility of student participation in a post graduate teacher (PGT), program.
The final round and prize distribution will be held on 7 September on World Equality Day at Satyug Darshan Vasundhara in Faridabad.
