Under ‘Operation Bullet’, Delhi Police has recovered about 10 high-end stolen motorcycles 13 lakhs, including six Royal Enfield pills. It has arrested two repeat criminals who were part of a string of motorcycle theft in Delhi and nearby areas.
Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS), Anti-Garlery and Snatching Cell, and a joint team of police station Swaroop Nagar performed the operation.
Which vehicles did Delhi Police fix?
The recovered vehicles include six Royal Enfield Bullet Motorcycles, one Yamaha R15, one Bajaj Pulsar and two hero Honda Splendor bikes.
Recovery has enabled the police to solve at least ten cases registered in Swarup Nagar, Narela, Burari, Model Town and Gannaur (Sonipat, Haryana). These cases included E-FIR filed between January 2024 and May 2025 under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and BNSS.
Based on the specific intelligence provided by the Head Constable by a confidential source, a trap was installed near the Bhalwa Lake in Mukundpur on the evening of 20 May, said the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Nidhin Walson, the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
“Around 6:00 pm, two suspects were intercepted while riding the Royal Enfield Bullet. The vehicle was confirmed to steal and was connected to the E-FIR registered at the police station Swaroop Nagar on 12 May,” said DCP Valson.
He said, “During interrogation, the suspects revealed the locations of several hideouts, where other stolen motorcycles were stopped. After their lead, the police conducted a series of operations and raids of the area in parts of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. This led to the recovery of nine additional motorcycles including other premium models, including other premium models.”
The arrested persons include 24 -year -old Pankaj, who are residents of Swaroop Nagar Extension, Bhalwa Dairy, Delhi and Tasleem 22, Rajiv Nagar, Bhalwa Dairy.
“Pankaj is a known ‘bad character’, in which there is a known ‘bad character’ with eight cases registered against him, while Tasastim has two former participation. During continuous interrogation, both of them confessed to many theft and disclosed the method of their operation. They usually try to break a house to break a house to steal the keys.
