Delhi will introduce new topics for senior secondary classes in three government schools for 2025-26.

The Delhi Education Directorate (DOE) has announced that three government schools will introduce new topics in their senior secondary classes for academic session 2025-26. In a circular issued on March 19, DOE confirmed to add these subjects to Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalayala, Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalayala and Government Girls Senior Secondary School.
New subjects include informative practices, history, Urdu, physical education and sociology. The department has directed the school heads to complete all the necessary CBSE formalities for the affiliation of these subjects.
According to Sant Ram, District Secretary, Government School Teachers Association, the implementation of these subjects will begin in April, as reported by PTI. “These subjects will provide students a wide range of learning opportunities,” he said.
Delhi School Admission 2025: DOE warns parents against fake entry and donation
Meanwhile, DOE has issued strict warnings against the practice of charity, capacity, consultation, or facility fee charging to get school admission. The DOE on Wednesday reminded parents and schools that the practice of paying or accepting donations or capacity in educational institutions is prohibited.
In a circular on March 19, 2025, the Directorate warned both parents and schools against being attached to individuals, organizations, or counseling firms, which make incorrect claims about influencing or guaranteeing entry.
“It is seen that some individuals /organizations /institutions are being incorrectly claimed to influence or guarantee parents to get admission in schools. The general public is informed in such a way that such claims are misleading and warning against such illegal institutions to engage or take advantage of services,” It is said in official notice.
