Delhi Elections 2025: As initial trends estimated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to cross the majority mark in the Delhi assembly election results, BJP Delhi chief Virendra Sachdeva said that a double in the national capital under Prime Minister Narendra -Inz government will be formed Modi’s leadership. She criticized the AAM AADMI party (AAP), suggesting that dishonesty with people leads to adverse consequences.
“If you are dishonest with the public, the public will give equal results. Under PM Modi’s leadership, a double-engine government will be formed in Delhi,” Sachdeva said.
According to the initial trends of the Election Commission, the Bharatiya Janata Party has crossed the majority mark in the Delhi assembly election results. BJP supporters were seen celebrating the party’s benefits.
The BJP is currently a leader in 41 seats, while AAP leads in 28 seats.
The majority mark to form a government in the national capital is 36.
AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is behind the 430 vote margin of New Delhi seat.
Aap Candidate and Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj is Trailing BJP’s Shikha Roy in the Greater Kailash Seat by 2,583 Votes.
Delhi Chief Minister Otoshi has left behind BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri in Calakji with a vote margin of 1,342 votes.
The BJP is also a pioneer in Okhla seat, which is considered a strong stronghold of AAP’s AAP’s AAP from the vote margin of 1,734.
Delhi Minister Gopal Rai is proceeding by 5,602 votes from Babarpur seat, while Imran Hussain is moving from Balimaran seat by 1,824 votes.
Satyendra Jain is Trailing BJP’s Karnail Singh from the Shakur Basti Seat by 8,072 Votes.
Former AAP leader Kailash Gehlot, who recently joined the BJP, has a comfortable lead of 2,714 in the Bijwasan seat.
Voting for the 70 -member Delhi Legislative Assembly was held on 5 February, with a total voter of 60.54 percent.
The AAP has been aiming for the third consecutive term, while the BJP is making all efforts to return to power after more than two decades in the national capital.
Most exit polls released on Wednesday gave BJP an edge over AAP. However, AAP leaders said the exit poll historically underestimated the party’s performance. He expressed confidence in returning to power.
