“What is this combination? Did you offer it or is it legitimate?” Jani says, still wondering.
“So this is Boney sir’s (Boney Kapoor) special dish. Idli with chicken curry. I don’t know how many of you have actually tasted it. Chicken curry on idli. I am so nervous to taste it,” she says, as she prepares to taste the combination suggested by her celebrity guest.

Although Jaani eventually approved of the idli-chicken curry combination after tasting it and asked his viewers to comment if they had tried it, he termed it a “strange combination”.

Another user, Rohit Malekar, said: “Sometimes in India, it’s easy to stay within your own culinary boundaries, until you step out and start living like the locals in another city.”
Another X user Arijit Garg defended Jani, saying he should be spared for not knowing the combination of idli and chicken curry.
He said, “I have been to all the states in the South, thoroughly enjoyed their cuisines and never heard of idli with chicken curry. My wife lived in Bengaluru for five years but never heard of this. If @CurlyTalesIndia doesn’t know about this, no problem. Give her a moment and move on.”
