CUET UG 2024: Online application portal launched. Here’s how to apply

The last date to submit the application form for CUET UG 2024 is March 26, 2025.

The registration-cum-application window and fee payment window of CUET UG 2024 will close at 11:50 pm on March 26, 2024.

NTA will provide a two-day correction window from 11.50 pm on March 28, 2024. CUET 2024 Exam City Information Slip will be released tentatively on April 30, 2024. NTA said that CUET (UG) – 2024 exam will be conducted in 380 cities including 26 cities outside India.

Candidates can download the admit card from NTA website after second week of May 2024. (Date may vary depending on national election schedule)

NTA has asked the candidates to ensure that they do not fill more than one registration form.

“Under no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one application form. The NTA release said that strict action will be taken against such candidates who have filled more than one application form.

The entrance exam is expected to be scheduled between May 15 to May 31, 2024 (tentative). results will be declared Tentatively On 30 June 2024.

CUET UG examination serves as a common screening test that enables selected students to apply for admission to all the Central Universities apart from many other participating institutions in the country.

Exam Scheme:

There will be 33 languages ​​and 27 subjects. The candidate can choose any subject/language as per the wish of the applicable University/Organization. The candidate will have to attempt 40 questions out of 50 in each language paper.

Common Test: For any graduate program/programmes offered by universities where a common test is being used for admission. The candidate will have to solve 50 questions out of total 60.

Earlier, on February 22, UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar had told PTI that while normalization of marks for CUET-UG is likely to end this year, NTA is planning key exam changes for its third edition. .

CUET exam is likely to be conducted in a shorter duration as NTA is considering a hybrid mode, consisting of OMR sheets and computer-based examination. This move will also ensure that most of the students will get a chance to take the exam in the city of their choice.

“For the last two years, in our effort to provide the center of first choice to students as much as possible we had to conduct exams over two or three days for the same paper. But this year, by adopting OMR mode, a large number of centers will be available in schools and colleges, thereby enabling us to conduct the examination across the country in a single day. If the examination for the same paper is conducted over multiple days, normalization is required and this is a scientific method,” the UGC chairman said.
