In Faridabad, Haryana, a class 11 student was brutally stabbed to death in the market. A police officer told news agency PTI that ten people have been arrested in the case.
The horrific incident has raised concerns as it was found that the victim’s family had approached the police to lodge a complaint against the death threats received by the victim, Anshul, days before he was allegedly stabbed.

A few days ago, Anshul’s family had expressed concern after receiving death threats on Instagram. Anshul’s family accused the police of inaction. He alleged that the police officers laughed off the matter. PTI,
Describing the incident, Anshul’s sister Anjali said that a few days ago her brother had a dispute with the accused. The accused have been identified as Himanshu Mathur and Rohit Dhama and some others who had gone to the market on Tuesday. On the same day, these people attacked Anshul with sticks and knives.
Immediately after the attack, Anjali and some local people ran to help the victim and took him to the hospital. However, Anshul could not be saved and he died on Wednesday. According to police, the victim was stabbed 14 times.
Anmol, a friend of the deceased, told the police that the accused wanted to spread hooliganism in Baslewa Colony and sell drugs. He further alleged that the accused often misbehaved with girls in the area.
Why was Anshul murdered?
This happened a few days after the victim, Anshul, allegedly had an argument with the accused. According to Anmol’s statement, the accused killed Anshul to take revenge.
After the complaint of the victim’s sister, the police have registered an FIR against 10 people. Police arrested Mathur, Dhama and 10 others in the case and further investigation is underway.
