According to party spokesperson Rajesh Bhatt on Friday, Union Minister and Lok Jansh Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan was threatened with death on social media before the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
Bhatt has filed a formal complaint with the cyber police station in Patna in connection with the incident.
According to the complaint, this danger was called ‘Tiger Maraj Idcy’ by an Instagram user.

Bhatt said in his complaint, “The threat was released due to Paswan’s increasing popularity. The act clearly reflects criminal intentions and participation in illegal activities.”
The complaint said, “I request you to take immediate cognizance of the severity of the case and initiate quick action. Please arrest the suspect without delay and make sure that strict possible punishment has been given.”
Taking cognizance of the case, Cyber DCP Nitish Chandra Dhariya said, “On the night of July 11, around 9 pm, Union Minister Chirag Paswan was threatened of death through social media. A case has been registered at Patna Cyber Police Station, and legal action is going on …”
Last week, Paswan, while addressing a gathering in Saran, announced his candidature for the upcoming Bihar elections.

He said, “Today, from this holy land of Saran, I am announcing that yes, I will contest the election for the people of Bihar. I will choose the election for the people of Bihar, my brothers, for our mothers, for our sisters, and we will create a system in Bihar, we will build a Bihar that will actually move on the path of development.”
LJP (Ram Vilas) is part of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) along with Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The LJP is expected to join the NDA for the upcoming Bihar pole, although Paswan has not yet confirmed his stand on it.
Bihar elections are expected to be held in October or November at the end of this year; However, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has not announced the official date.
