China is no friend of anyone. It has already been deceiving India, but now it has stabbed its most trusted friend Putin in the back. The hypersonic technology due to which Russian President Putin considered himself king, the Dragon has acquired that technology by sending an agent into Putin’s house. After this revelation, there has been an uproar in Russia. A Moscow court has sentenced this expert working on Putin’s hypersonic technology to 15 years in prison on charges of treason.
According to a Mediazona report, Russian scientist Alexander Shipluk had been working on Putin’s special project, hypersonic fighter planes, for years. Meanwhile, Chinese spies contacted him and struck a deal to give him the technology. The report states that Shipluk sold classified data on hypersonic technology to China during a scientific conference in 2017.
He was always present for China
57-year-old Shipluk was the chief of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics in Siberia. He was arrested in 2023. When investigated, it was found that he had shared the technology of hypersonic fighter plane with China. Not only this, he was always available for them online. Whenever they needed information, he used to provide it.
So far 11 Russian scientists have been jailed
Another scientist working with Shipluk, Anatoly Maslov, was also his assistant in this work. He was also sentenced to 14 years in prison on charges of treason in May. Apart from him, Alexander Kuranov, the head of the St. Petersburg-based research institute, was also sentenced to 7 years in April. However, Shipluk rejected all the allegations against him. He said that all the information he provided to the Chinese experts is available online. Anyone can trace it. Given the sensitivity of the matter, the hearing took place behind closed doors. According to a BBC report, Putin is working on a new series of hypersonic aircraft. So far, 11 Russian scientists have been sent to jail on charges of leaking its information.
