New Delhi, the Central Board of Secondary Education on Friday conducted a stunning inspection in 15 schools in seven states and center areas to investigate any violations of the criteria, including dummy or non-informative students.
“CBSE has organized a series of amazing inspections in 15 schools in Delhi, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. There were 15 teams meeting with an officer of the board and an officer of a school affiliated with the board.
A senior board official said, “All inspections were executed in a small window at the same time to ensure that surprising elements are intact to provide accurate information about the work and operation of schools, which were inspected on their dates of inspection.”
The official said that the primary objective of surprise inspections was to investigate, scout and find out if the school was working in compliance with the board norms according to the board novels and is not naming non-domestic students while maintaining educational and physical infrastructure in the school.
“Further, necessary action will be taken after considering the reports of the inspection committee. CBSE is committed to maintaining educational standards and will remain in implementing strict measures against any violation of its rules,” the official said.
Students preparing for engineering and medical entrance exam prefer to take admission in dummy schools so that they can focus on their preparation for competitive exams. They do not participate in classes and appear directly in the board examination.
Candidates also select dummy schools to avail state-specific quota for admission in medical and engineering colleges. For example, candidates who complete their senior secondary education in Delhi become eligible for Delhi State Kota in medical and engineering colleges, giving them an additional incentive to enroll in dummy schools in the capital.
