In a conversation with Local 18, Sudha Patel from the horticulture department said, farmers and eligible beneficiaries are also being subsidized by the government to open the flour mill. Benefits can be availed by applying under PMFME scheme. For this, online registration and application process have to be completed by visiting Myscheme portal.
Under this scheme, 35% grant of eligible project cost is given on installing flour mill. The maximum limit has been fixed at Rs 10 lakh per unit. The applicant has to register under single micro enterprise, self -help group (SHG) or any other eligible group. The scheme includes not only financial help, but also facilities like training, marketing and branding.
Start from 50 thousand and increase business up to millions
Any man or woman can open a flour mill less than just 50 thousand rupees. At the same time, those who invest from 1 to 2 lakh rupees can also get good profits. The specialty of this scheme is that people starting from small levels can also expand their business over time. You can avail additional subsidy separately.
This scheme includes not only flour mills, but also many other options like bakery products, salty, sweets, cakes, pickles, rice mills, pastry units. Entrepreneurs can set up any of these units and start their business at low cost. The objective of the scheme is to promote youth and women in rural and urban areas towards self -employment.
