Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) executive president KT Ram Rao (KTR) accused both the ruling Congress in Telangana and the BJP at the Center of confronting the state.
Speaking at the Telangana Bhavan during the event to join a party, KTR alleged that Chief Minister Revantha Reddy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi entered the ‘backward agreement’ and a ‘secret deal’ has been done, which he warned, threatened Telangana’s future.
KTR jokingly said what he said to the politics of Chief Minister Revanath Reddy’s ‘scissors’. He said that Revanath took a pair of scissors in his pocket and was eager to cut ribbon for buildings constructed during the BRS government.
“They should be careful while carrying those scissors,” KTR took a pinch, stating that the inauguration of Osmania University buildings on Monday was placed below during the tenure of KCR.
KTR said, “The way Revanath speaks, he said, he said, only people laughed, and when compared to previous Chief Ministers, people were cursing them,” KTR said.
‘Conspiracy to harm Kaleshwaram project’
KTR accused Revantha Reddy of rubbing a conspiracy to harm the Kaleshwaram project. He alleged that, under the instructions of Modi and Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister Godavari was working to divert Godavari water down to Andhra Pradesh and finally Tamil Nadu. “This is why Reventh made a complaint against Kaleshwaram,” KTR alleged, described it as part of a large plot set by the Center.
Making a sharp comparison between the two leaders, KTR described PM Modi as “Bada Modi” and CM Reventh Reddy as “Chhota Modi”. Both said, made high promises and then forgot to distribute it easily.
He said that Revanath’s political conduct clearly showed that he was moving towards an open alliance with Modi. “This would eventually give a heavy blow to Rahul Gandhi,” KTR predicted.
KTR reminded him that there was never a shortage of urea under the decade of KCR rule.
KTR said, “Congress has failed to fulfill the same election promise in the last 20 months. If you dislike their rule, in the upcoming local body elections, give their decision against them,” KTR said.
