BRAHMOS MISSILE: If we want to break China’s back, we will have to target its energy trade. The countries oppressed by China in the South China Sea also know this. Its cure has now been found in the form of Indian Brahmos. After Philippines, now Indonesia…read more

Indian BrahMos a perfect weapon to counter China
BrahMos Missile: On January 26, on the path of duty, the Supreme Commander of the world’s deadliest supersonic cruise missile BrahMos will salute President Draupadi Murmu. When BrahMos is passing on the duty path, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto will also watch closely. After Philippines, Indonesia is the second country which has expressed its desire to purchase BrahMos. The talks moved forward and if sources are to be believed the deal is in its final stage. This deal worth 450 million dollars can also be announced during the visit of the President of Indonesia to India. 80 percent of China’s energy trade passes through the Malacca Strait between Malaysia and Indonesia. This deal is full of concerns for Dragon.
Delivery to Philippines begins
Philippines had signed a contract with India for three missile batteries for $375 million. The supply of BrahMos to the Philippines has also started. Now if an agreement is signed with Indonesia, the biggest problem will arise for China. In fact, China leaves no stone unturned in threatening the South China Sea and its surrounding countries. It also continues to occupy their Exclusive Economic Zone i.e. EEZ. China’s relations with the Philippines deteriorated further since 2009. China released a new map in which it marked its territory by drawing 9 dash lines in the South China Sea. This also includes the islands and part of the EEZ of the Philippines. According to China, the crisis of occupying the maritime areas of Philippines, Vietnam, Taiwan and Malaysia has increased. Now Philippines is relieved after getting BrahMos.
Indian reason for fear of China in South China Sea
Supersonic BrahMos Chakravyuh is being prepared against China in the China Sea and its surrounding sea areas. It would not be wrong to say that China is under siege. Philippines has started receiving BrahMos. Apart from this, many other countries have also shown interest in BrahMos missile, including Indonesia and Thailand. All three versions of BrahMos, including land-launched, sea-launched and air-launched missiles, have been inducted into all three wings of the Indian Army. Its specialty is that it is not possible to detect its speed through radar. A BrahMos land version missile of the Indian Air Force was accidentally fired towards Pakistan. The missile fell 100 kilometers inside Pakistan but Pakistan’s radar could not even track it. The radar that Pakistan has is Chinese. From this it has become clear that a country like China does not have the technology to track BrahMos.
Range of BrahMos is being increased after becoming a member of MTCR
India became a member of the India Missile Technology Control Regime in 2016. Since then India has started working to increase the range of BrahMos. MTCR is an organization that controls the proliferation of long range missiles or long range drones. Under international law, no country can sell a missile with a range of more than 300 kilometers to another country. When India and Russia jointly developed BrahMos, its range was kept at 290 kilometers. As soon as it became a member of MTCR in 2016, doors opened for India to increase the range of BrahMos. Russia can now officially help India to increase the range of BrahMos. Work is going on to increase the range of BrahMos beyond 290 kilometers. Indian scientists are working to give it a range of 400 to 600 kilometers. Recently, the Indian Air Force successfully tested BrahMos Extended Range from Sukhoi fighter aircraft. Its range was more than 400 kilometers. If the world’s most dangerous supersonic cruise missile system joins the army of those countries through whose maritime borders Chinese energy trade proceeds, then it will be no less than a suffocating situation for China.
