On the impact of technology on job markets, Ryder talked about the uncertainty that AI represents. “When people talk about how inflation is going to be here in the next 3-5 years, I don’t think you know because I don’t think you know how artificial intelligence is going to impact jobs. Many studies show that 35 to 65% of jobs will be either enhanced or eliminated by artificial intelligence. The main reason for inflation around the world today is wages, because we don’t have enough people. So, if you are going to reduce the workforce by one-third to one-half over the next few years, it is going to have a huge impact on growth, inflation.
“One thing I’ve learned about the markets and investing is that the markets don’t react to things until the shark is right next to the boat.
